LEFT BEHIND
03:22
|
|||
"The days get longer, as time passes by.
All I can do, is hold my head up high.
I'm left behind.
The knights get colder, with people here.
Desperately trying to hide, my emotions and their fear.
I'm left behind.
The streets in the town,
are lonesome and old.
The aged are decrepit,
sad and cold.
I'm left behind.
The shadows grow, forever to remain.
Expanding peoples minds, by reflecting others pain.
I'm caught in between.
My love has left me.
Far behind.
It's not what i thought would happen,
in my mind.
I'm left behind.
The people i loved, and growd to know
Have left me in this state, i'm on my own
Im all alone. "

LEAVE YOU TO DIE
03:13
|
|||
"Who are you? What do you hold?
Do you really think, you're worth your weight in gold?
Well come along now, Take it one step at a time.
You've got the wrong papers, you've been declined.
Oh No. I can't. Let it go..
Oh No Not I. I will, Leave You To Die.
I don't mean to intrude- But I rented this space,
And I can't sleep, with your friends on my face!
They're in my kitchen, Down my hall,
In my bedroom, All over my wall!
Oh No. I can't. Let it go..
Oh No Not I. I will, Leave You To Die.
(Solo of Epic Proportions)
It was supposed to be better, Now it is worse,
That Bitch, Mother Nature, has taken her curse!
There's a sinkin' In my gut, A feeling i have feel,
Into the depths, of my personal hell!
Oh No. I can't. Let it go..
Oh No Not I. I will, Leave You To Die."

THE TOWN
03:50
|
|||
"I used to work hard, I did what was right.
Well i stopped. Living that lie.
I got smart. it all went to my head.
I clogged the gears, I refuse to be lead.
I went to town, got the reading read,
you won't believe what the writing said.
In this world. two types of man.
Those who sit and stare, others take a stand.
You can sit and listen, me i choose to talk.
You could be a hunter, you could be livestock.
When you're in the town, why don't you read what's on he walls?
You may find your answer, you could even hear your call.
Me i will accept it. I'll greet the bitter end.
I accept your existence, you aint' my friend.
Pack up your things, you're money aint' no good.
My forgiveness is pity, don't be misunderstood.
When you're in the town, see my picture nailed to a post.
You can see you're past, all i see is a ghost.
Used to work hard. I did what was right.
I stopped, I've seen the light.
It's a cruel, cruel world, much more than you'll know.
Maybe you'll think twice, before you go.
When you're in the town, walk barefoot on the ground,
know your self or you may never be found."

LONG WAY FROM HOME
04:08
|
|||
Today we marched for hours to the sergeants hut.
I drank my tea, from a battered cup,
and thought, "what if today is the day my numbers up?"
I'm a long way from home
Everyday the war continues so relentlessly.
Death and bloody clothing fall silently,
and i know with all the good that's left in me,
I'm a long way from home
And the men passed around, a scrap of a poem,
that spoke of the crosses, where poppies are blowin'.
A bright torch that from, failing hands is thrown.
One day we'll speak soundly and safety, at home
If tomorrow comes, should i thank someone?
As i clean and oil, and prepare my gun.
The sky is dark and brooding, and there is no sun.
I'm a long way from home
The distance seems much further, with every concurred mile.
I can hardly hear your voice or remember your sweet smile,
I pray I'll be back, in just a little while,
I'm a long way from home
And the men passed around, a scrap of a poem,
that spoke of the crosses, where poppies are blowin'.
A bright torch that from, failing hands is thrown.
One day we'll speak soundly and safety, at home
I can hear the voices rising, as they find their stone.
Among the many others, i am not alone.
This one's only seventeen, from a small town of his own.
He's a long way from home.
I'm a long way from home.

ALISON
02:56
|

"Alison said to me just last night,
I want to paint a picture, but I’ve got to get it right,
I want to make it say “I Love You”
But I don’t know if it should be in green or in blue.
Oh Alison, Alison
Where have you been, what have you done?
Her daddy doesn’t want her to grow up anymore,
He’s afraid that soon she’ll be walking out the door.
With her snazzy blue jeans and blond hair so fine,
He knows she’s only seven, but she’s looking almost nine.
Oh Alison, Alison
Where have you been, what have you done?
She likes to ride her bike, but not too fast,
She takes it slow, because she wants it to last
So sometimes we stop for an ice cream cone
And sing silly songs all the way home.
Oh Alison, Alison
Where have you been, what have you done?
There’s so much I want to tell you,
There’s so much for you to know.
But time goes quickly and words are kind of slow,
I’m hoping someday you’ll have a girl like you
Who will paint pretty pictures in green and in blue.
Oh Alison, Alison
Where have you been, what have you done?
Oh Alison, Alison
Where will you be, what will you have done? "

ROSE OF TRALEE
05:00
|

"Weak feet, Iʼm losing my balance
My soul to keep, Got no patience
This is all Iʼve known
Make the fire shovel coal
To be alone, Where we dare not go
As it is known, Where we dare not go
The pale moon was rising, above the green mountains,
The sun was declining, beneath the blue sea;
When I strayed with my love to the pure crystal fountain,
When I won the heart of the Rose of Tralee.
'Twas the truth in her eyes ever dawning,
When i won the heart of the Rose of Tralee.
The cool shades of evening, their mantle were spreading,
And Mary all smiling, and listening to me;
The moon through the valley her pale rays was shedding,
When I won the heart of the Rose of Tralee.
'Twas the truth in her eyes ever dawning,
When i won the heart of the Rose of Tralee.
Dead eye! Lake house reflection
Dead rat! Viewer discretion
These aint' no people i've ever known
When is it will they go?
To be alone, Where we dare not go
As it is known, Where we dare not go"

"I've been struggling here, for seventeen long years,
I don't know how I got here, the reason has never been clear
Sometimes I feel so hollow, like I'm standing perfectly still
if that girl don't kill me, then I don't know what will
Iʼve spend my time lying and stealin', thinkinʼ only of me
this isnʼt the first time, Ive thought someone else could hold a key
To the lock that is my happiness, but its a battle way uphill
if that girl don't kill me, then I don't know what will
I donʼt know what I did to deserve her Iʼm grateful and gracious everyday
she always helps me solve my problems And chase all my blues away
I know, if we hold on, we cold last long And get our fill,
if that girl dont kill me I dont know what will
I been struggling here, for seventeen long years
I don't know how I got here, the reasons still not clear
Sometimes I feel so hollow, like I'm standing perfectly still
if that girl don't kill me, then I don't know what will"

"I got the noose early one morning,
The sun was hiding, rain was poring.
My bags, already packed. I learned "don't look back".
not sure yet, where i'd be going
Mama said i look good i red
Mama said i look good i red
So that's what i'll wear on the day i'm dead
cause' Mama said i look good i red
You can't always be too certain.
The consequences of who you're hurtin'.
All I know is I've been framed,
and my innocence laid slain.
I carry around that burden.
Mama said i look good i red
Mama said i look good i red
So that's what i'll wear on the day i'm dead
cause' Mama said i look good i red"
